Week 84 chemo complete: Hello Autumn!

Week 84 chemo complete: Hello Autumn!

Wednesday evening I travelled to Lynn Loop in North Vancouver to experience the changing colours and to breathe the fresh air of the forest. As I walked I could hear the water from the Lynn Creek rushing by. I found an opening through the trees, where I sat down by the shore, and reflected on how beautiful Autumn is.

Peace out Summer.

To recap: On Sunday, September 18th, I completed Cycle 21 Week 4. I have Multiple Myeloma and anemia, a rare blood cancer. It is incurable, but treatable. From February to November 2013, I received Velcade chemo through weekly in-hospital injections as an outpatient. Since February 9th 2015, I have been on Pomalyst and dexamethasone chemo treatment (Pom/dex).

Weekly chemo-inspired self-portraits can be viewed in my flickr album.
