Week 109 chemo complete: Hiking at Boundary Bay

Week 109 chemo complete: There’s a storm coming…

Friday morning, I travelled south of Vancouver to Boundary Bay Regional Park in Tsawwassen, close to the US border. It is a popular place for bird-watching, and I observed wildlife in their reserves flying around, while I wandered along a hiking trail, before stopping at Centennial Beach.

As a storm was approaching, I left in the early afternoon. However, I plan to return later in the Spring, to watch the sunset on the beach. Metro Vancouver has so many amazing parks, I’m always in a good mood exploring nature.

To recap: On Sunday, March 12th, I completed Cycle 28 Week 1. I have Multiple Myeloma and anemia, a rare blood cancer. It is incurable, but treatable. Since February 9th 2015, I have been on Pomalyst and dexamethasone chemo treatment (Pom/dex).

Weekly chemo-inspired self-portraits can be viewed in my flickr album.
