Yesterday I hiked up the trail to Dorman Point in Crippen Regional Park on Bowen Island. It was a nice place to relax and enjoy the view. I always enjoy going to Bowen Island as it is fun to take a ferry somewhere, that is close enough for a daytrip.
I plan to return again soon to watch the sunrise.
Chemo can get pretty exhausting both mentally and physically. However I’m staying positive and doing what I can to make the best of each day.
To recap: On Sunday, January 22nd, I completed Cycle 26 Week 2. I have Multiple Myeloma and anemia, a rare blood cancer. It is incurable, but treatable. From February to November 2013, I received Velcade chemo through weekly in-hospital injections as an outpatient. Since February 9th 2015, I have been on Pomalyst and dexamethasone chemo treatment (Pom/dex).
Weekly chemo-inspired self-portraits can be viewed in my flickr album.
