Letting Go

Lots of movies have gripping scenes where someone is barely hanging on in a precarious life-threatening situation, and others are encouraging them to “hang on” and “don’t let go.”  Some do hang on and are rescued.  Others don’t.The movie Tita…

Where Are They Now? Disney Princesses

I’m a lifelong Disney fan, and I’ve often wondered what happens to these girls after their stint in the limelight. How do you follow up a princess gig? Wonder no more:CinderellaJasmineSnow WhiteSleeping BeautyThe Little Mermaid

Transplant #1 (Day 5)

Have not written in a while. Doing okay but extremely, extremely tired. This weekend slept most of the time. Days 1-4 seem like a blur. I have not hit bottom yet- I think that will come in a couple of days. After that, I should start recovering – i.e., my little stem cells start rebooting my system. We have a doctor app this Thursday. Looking forward to seeing how operation reboot #1 has worked. After that, hoping to get discharged by end of the month. We will see.

Thank you all for all your emails and calls. Sorry again for not returned any of the calls – but I have not been feeling too much like talking lately.

Love you!
Lina

Correction: I HAD a Donor

Thursday I learned that my high-quality donor has decided to move on to other challenging opportunities. I am sure they had very good reasons to cut and run in the middle of an evil, moonless, snowy night. Maybe someone showed them my blog!

Hospital Moments

If you hang out in a busy home-town hospital for any length of time you will begin to see a lot of people you know.  Not just people who come to see your intended visitee, either.  My next door neighbor’s mother was in the hospital a few door…
