I was trying to decide what maturity is. The question came about in a conversation about modern government and how it seemed more an entity to itself than the people it was supposed to serve. AQfter all, at the moment the government seems most competent at gridlock and finding reasons to enforce it. We all make certain assumptions about maturity; eg: we assume that the people in our various systems and castes have maturity in spite of any indications for or against it.
