FormerVice Presidential candidate, Geraldine Ferraro, died today. She was diagnosedwith multiple myeloma in 1998. Since my diagnosis, I have often thought abouther and how long she had this disease. She gave me hope and it was comforting to know of someonewho was diagnosed that many years ago who was still alive. I hope I can survive as many years as she did. Shehas been an inspiration to me.
