The geese have arrived!
This year, there seem to be more than ever, wheeling overhead in honking, screeching skeins. I managed to get within a few feet of the boundary fence before they spotted me, and took off as one, squawking in alarm and indignation.
They circled the fields a few times before settling a little lower down the valley.
This is my interview outfit. (No I didn’t take the ladder with me – I just haven’t finished painting the bedroom!)
