Early on the road

It’s been a long time since I set my alarm for 6:30. The weather looked bleak and I had to be in Utrecht Monday at 9:45. Over a hundred snowy kilometers away from my warm bed. After a reasonable comfortabe drive, that started with a lot of slippery miles, I arrived in the hospital on time.

Quite a few tests were waiting for me there, blood, urine, bone-marrow, bone and ECG. All of my fellow Myeloma brothers ands sisters know what I’m talking about. Bone-marrow and an bone-biopt are nasty tests. To be honest, I didn’t look forward to this day. It was a real relief when it was all over. Next week I will be there again together with my donor brother. I will receive my first gift of T-cells together with the dendritic cells. It will be really exciting. Will they do he trick? The moment of truth is nigh.
