A lot to report on. I had a doctor appointment today. All is well and everything is going in the correct direction. My transplant date is officially this Wednesday. Tomorrow I will be getting a large dose of melphalen. That should kill my bone marrow. That day is known as DAY -1. The following day, I get my stem cells that I harvested infused back into me. That is the DAY (or also known as Day 0). I am quite excited about this. If all goes well – recovery takes around twenty or so days. That means, I might be able to go home end of March for about 3 weeks. After that, I come back and repeat it all again.
This weekend Stan visited with the boys. It was absolutely wonderful! The weather was finally cooperating. It was simply beautiful outside. We went for long walks in the neighborhood and hang out together. The left for home today. It was a wonderful boost right before my transplant.
I am feeling good and ready to get this show on the road.
So wish me luck for both tomorrow and day after!
Hugs & Kisses,
